Scientific Director of MetaGenoPolis (MGP), INRAE. Expert in gut microbial ecology, intestinal phylogenomics and metagenomics. Scientific advisor at MaaT Pharma, an innovative startup developing microbiome-based therapies to restore patient microbial symbiosis in dysbiosis-related diseases.

Dr. Joël Doré is a Research Director at INRAE (French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment), specializing in gut microbial ecology with expertise in intestinal phylogenomics and metagenomics. As Scientific Director of MetaGenoPolis (MGP) - a pre-industrial demonstrator and center of excellence in quantitative and functional metagenomics - he leads this INRAE unit under the Micalis Institute ("Food and Gut Microbiology for Human Health"), funded by the French government’s Future Investments Program (PIA).
Beyond his research leadership, Dr. Doré serves as a scientific advisor for MaaT Pharma, a biotech startup (founded in 2014) developing standardized microbiotherapy to restore microbial symbiosis in dysbiosis-related diseases.
